Dear all,
the 01.28.2009 I undertook a lawsuit versus Mr. Parry Gripp to protect the rights I have on the video that you can see above.
The action of uploading the video on youtube proves that I am willing to make my work accessible to everyone who want to share with me the funny experience of watching my hamster doing what you see, without compensation.
What I really don’t want, and what it is expressely forbidden by youtube’s terms and conditions, is that someone is using my work, or a derivative work for commercial purposes.
I cannot accept Mr. Parry Gripp, or anyone else, doing business in a parasitical way.
Mr. Gripp should have asked first a permission to use my video for sponsoring his (unbearable) song and then sell it through the services of Itunes and Amazon.com websites. He could have also let the users have free access to his song (a derivative work of my video), even for downloading, and I would have nothing to object, but he didn’t.
It’s an easy concept to understand: my work is offered for free through the services of youtubes’ web site, provided that no one will have a commercial gain from it.

il 28.01.2009 ho intrapreso nei confronti del sig. Gripp un’azione a tutela dei miei diritti sul video che vedete.
La mia volontà di inserire su youtube il video testimonia la mia inclinazione a rendere accessibile la mia opera, gratuitamente, a tutti coloro che vogliano condividere con me il divertimento nel guardare il mio criceto fare quello che vedete.
Quello che non voglio, e che è espressamente vietato dal regolamento di Youtube, è che venga fatta una utilizzazione commerciale dell’opera e delle opere da essa derivate.
Non sono disposto ad accettare che il business si faccia in modo parassitario.
Il sig. Gripp avrebbe dovuto chiedere l’autorizzazione per usare il mio video come veicolo pubblicitario della canzone che commercializza su canali commerciali quali Itunes e Amazon oppure rendere liberamente fruibile la canzone, anche per il download, così come è liberamente fruibile il mio video.
Il concetto è semplice: io rendo disponibile la mia opera in via gratuita a patto che nessuno ci lucri sopra.
