I just bought a new hamster cage. It is the old fashioned cage that has two levels whith a ladder in between. the top floor has a hamster home and the bottom floor has the wheel and the water and the feeding bowl. how can I make this cage more "comfy" for my hamster.
p.s: I already put beading in his house

make sure the layer of bedding you put in is nice and thick, since hamsters love to burrow and dig around in there.
add lots of toys! if the second level of your cage is wire, you can hang toys like wood chews and rope ladders. make hammocks, and chuck in some tubes and tunnels like toilet rolls. you can even put in tree branches, but make sure the chemicals and oils in the tree are harmless for your hamster.
to make things more ‘fun’ you can scatter, hide or bury some treats in the bedding so your hamster has to find them.
people with rats usually have amazing cages, you can search them up on google images. all you have to do is make toys that are smaller, so your hamster can properly play on them.

put another hamster in there
Add some toys to entertain the hamster.
Add maybe some large rocks for the hamster to climb on.
maybe also add a nesting box.
add lots of toys like a see saw (my hamster loves it)
give him lots of chew toys and a hamster ‘bedroom’ a lil place for him/her sleep. if a syrian hamster do not buy 2 as serious fighting will occur!!!

give them a bunch torn up toilet paper (no odor) to make a nice fluffy bed for itself, and an empty toilet paper roll or two, they love those. Also give them some things to chew on like wood sticks bought at a pet store and such.
